Irish Youth Baroque Orchestra

The award-winning Irish Youth Baroque Orchestra offers intensive and fun experience of period instruments!

The Irish Youth Baroque Orchestra is aimed at advanced instrumental students between the ages of 18 and 24 with an interest in historically informed performance. The orchestra is open to string players, harpsichordists and baroque woodwind players, and works intensively with IBO Associate Leader Claire Duff as well as IBO tutors. Baroque Dance sessions with Mary Collins provide an insight into the syle of the Baroque period, and Feldenkrais sessions focus attention on wellbeing.

The Irish Youth Baroque Orchestra is delivered in partnership with the Irish Association of Youth Orchestras.
